Lee and I are still overwhelmed by the generosity of those who attended and contributed to the Charity Race Day at Royal Randwick in May. Although I spent a lot of worried nights leading up to the day, it was an absolute success raising over $32,000 for our charities. The live auction was a surprise in raising over $12,000 alone. The event took alot of time and effort to organise but the outcome makes it all worthwhile. Thankyou all again.
Also in May, saw Scott and I make our first television performance on Thursday Night Live (TEN HD) - it was alot of fun and the feedback is that I definitely have a face for radio. Check out the link in the media page.
Scott and I are in the final stages of organising the Centennial Park Finale which will be on Saturday, 11th September. It will be an exciting fun filled day and I hope you all can attend. Respect to all you event managers out there - you are worth every penny.
Also both Scott's father and my father will be with us for 30 day adventure driving our support vehicles - both are very proud of there boys and looking forward to cracking the whip along the ride.
We have had many challenges in recent months with health, work , equipment and bad weather but have come through each challenge and am feeling confident of the task ahead of us. This has been a great learning experience for me, understanding my body and how far I can push it. And also the resilience of the team working to a positive outcome. I am getting a better understanding of people with there own touching stories, and I will take these stories with me along the 3,000km ride and use it for motivation for those tougher days.
With close to 7 weeks before we fly to north Queensland for our ride , we have surpassed $150k in fundraising and I am excited about what the next few months hold. I am looking forward to meeting new people and telling them about our story and our cause. If you see us along the way please stop and say hello.

Hello everyone,
Its been an exciting few weeks with the Coast 2 Coast campaign really taking off and I am thankful for everyone who has personally supported and encouraged Scott and I. Raising $200,000 is going to be a real challenge and we will need all friends, family, colleagues and strangers to get behind us to make this a reality.
Having and raising a family is not as simple as it may seem. The inability to help or change my current situation is my determination to succeed. If we make a difference to one family from this ride it will all be worthwhile. Get behind us on this united cause.
Lee and I wish you all a Merry and Safe holiday season and hope to see you at one of the many C2C events in the New Year.
