Brad McGee

Brad McGee is one of Australia's greatest cyclist. From an early age he dominated the track finishing his career with one Olympic gold, one silver and three bronze. His trophy cabinet also contains 5 gold Commonwealth games medals and he was presented with an order of Australia medal (OAM) in 2005 but his greatest achievements were on the European tour. Brad is the only Australian cyclist to have worn the leaders yellow jersey in all three of the worlds grand tours; the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia and Vuelta a Espana.

As a family man I am amazed that Scott and Dave, who have had their fair share of bad luck, are taking on this amazing challenge to help other families with similar circumstances to their own. My second view is from my cycling background. Two novice cyclists riding 3000km in 30 day is an impressive achievement. Elite cyclist from around the world train all their lives to compete in events like the Tour de France which is typically 3500km in 20 days. My hat is of to them. Good luck guys. I hope the Australian public gets behind this great cause!”
